Biden and the June job reports

bobknight33 says...

I applaud the jobs #

But when you say *quality leadership, -- You are Sadly mistaken .

Putting Union back together -- you mean political payback for all the $ spent buying Biden / Democrats that Biden is now paying back the unions in favors?

So you are saying that You are in favor of big business buying our politicians and getting special breaks using American tax dollars.

What Trump damage. Went from a 0.2% GDP growth /yr to 2.5 + Growth. Obama touted that this0.2% was the new norm and Trump claimed BS. Trump said he wold crate jobs and Obama dumbly said how by waving a magic wand.

Trump, for all his BS turned America around and mad all of us better.

A strong work force is the only positive news of this Admin.

Biden and Democrat policies can make policies that help the American pocketbook but wont.

This biggest is the party stance on oil. Americans are getting poorer mostly from this fact alone. The party decided to cut out fossil fuels and go green. This decision is costing families hundreds of dollars extra, that they don't have every month.

Not just from the extra at the pump but also the extra cost to deliver goods and services .

Current media reports that this extra cost is running about 500$/month 6K$/year.

This is you man Joe, and his party's policies?

I just assume to keep Trump , mean tweets and all, and keep the $6 grand / year in my pocket.

*doublepromote good news making Trumpster’s heads explode
*quality leadership, only took 18 months to repair the wrecked economy left by the ex pant pooper in chief. Putting the union back together may be an impossibility, the damage Trump did there seems irreparable.

No doubt, the anti America crowd will find a way to either deny these statistics or do mental gymnastics to say they’re still awful, and tangerine Palpatine would have done much better (despite all evidence to the contrary).

Shoplifting Running Rampant

BSR says...

I kinda picture the thieves as big business and I picture closing down stores as people losing their homes which is also a major epidemic.

As much as @bobknight33 spams far right stuff, it is understandable to consider this suspect. But in this case, it is actually a major epidemic.

Ernest Tubb - Saturday Satan, Sunday Saint

bobknight33 says...

Saturday Satan, Sunday saint
Foolin' your neighbors
That's what you think
Readin' the good book
Singin' the hymns
Come Monday morning and it's back to a life of sin

Old brother Brown
All week he steals
Tells everyone
His big business deals
The deacon walks by
A dollar hits the plate
Tryin' to buy himself a ticket to the pearly gates

Old sister Rose
On the very first row
Been a-sittin' right there
Twenty years or so
Never hears a word
When the preacher speaks
Too busy talkin' bout the bad girl down the street

Saturday Satan, Sunday saint
Foolin' your neighbors
Readin' the good book
Singin' the hymns
Come Monday mornin' and it's back to a life of sin
This little song holds good advice
Though some people may
Think it ain't too nice
Well, if you're one
Who's wearing the shoes
Well, there's somebody watchin' and he ain't nobody's fool

Saturday Satan, Sunday saint
Foolin' your neighbors
Readin' the good book
Singin' the hymns
Come Monday mornin' and it's back to a life of sin
Come Monday mornin' and it's back to a life of sin

CNBC fair and balanced just like Fox News. No bias in CNBC reporting on big business and regulation of business. I won't downvote as i skipped around and only watched a small bit of the video, but the bit i watched seemed pretty agenda driven.

More Free Stuff 2020

Sagemind says...

This is the dumbest video I've seen. These things aren't about giving "Free"stuff, It's about allocating the revenues back to the people who pay the taxes.

This money is already being taken from the populous in the form of Taxes, It's a matter where the money will be spent.

Currently that money goes to Huge Military contracts and paid to big corporations, and back room deals to Big Business.

Take the highest promise on that list, and it still barely scratches how much money is being funneled into these businesses already owned by the rich as they siphon off every penny they can to the already rich corporations.

New Rule: Suckers | Real Time with Bill Maher

Sagemind says...

it's unfortunate, I agree.
We need government to set laws and restrictions because humans are shitty, and big companies will always make decisions based on money and short term solutions. Big business and corporations will cut corners on anything environment because it's not in their interest. their only interest is paying back the biggest dollar to their shareholders.

The funny thing is, the shareholders are people like you and me, and we don't have a say on how these companies are run. Our Retirement funds are invested in them, and our savings accounts are being used by the banks to invest in them. That's why our money grows over time.

So big corporate interests are our interests. It's a vicious circle, If we want our investments to be responsible, we're going to also need our governments to impose those rules on corporations so we can have a future for our children and live on a clean earth.

transmorpher said:

Oops,I must have missed the start of the video somehow lol.

But if that was his reasoning, he's still passing the buck. Why do we have to wait for the government to tell us on to throw plastic into the ocean or not to buy beef because it causes more emissions than all transport. For a person who constantly wants to keep government out of our lives, he seems to want them to also solve his problems.

Anyway I don't like the guy, but thanks for the follow up, I really did miss the message. Thx.

Life Hack: Breaking off security tag...

eric3579 says...

This is all my understanding of these things and personal observations.

As someone who worked in loss prevention once upon a time, this looks like a standard magnetic Sensormatic tag(no ink) https://www.sensormatic.com/products/hard-tags/ultra-gator-tags

@ChaosEngine It's actually used more as a deterrent than anything. People tend not to steal stuff if they think it will set off some sort of alarm.

Most of the time when a cashier forgets to remove it a small alarm sound will go off when exiting the store. Most people stop look around and then just continue on their way as they usually have no idea why something was just beeping. It happens within seconds so customers are usually way out the door before anyone could react even if they wanted to. Employees tend to just ignore it when it happens. Most big businesses don't want employees chasing or stopping people. You stop someone and they may rightfully feel as if you are accusing them of something in front of all who may be looking. Leading to defamation lawsuits which are often won by plaintiffs.

There is ink in there? The last time that happened to me, with a very similar tag, I just snipped it with some bolt cutters. Maybe that wasn't such a great idea in retrospect.

Man saws his AR15 in half in support of gun control

cloudballoon says...

Respect. I live in Canada. So my perspective is probably warped or highly misinformed and ignorant of the USA's gun control, 2nd amendment argument. But my thought is, what's wrong with not being able to own anything that exists? Assault weapons shouldn't be made available to the public, it should be restricted to the military. Period. It's just incredible how these mass murdering weapons were even allowed to be owned in the first place. Even if the argument is that it's enshrined in the 2nd amendment, then the political discussion should be about changing/more narrowly define the amendment. How old is the 2nd amendment? How applicable is it to modern needs?

Even only allowing regulated shooting ranges to have these assault weapons just for on-site shooting is good thing. It allows gun lovers to hold them in hand, try them for target practice, have some fun but not allow anyone to take them out of the shooting range. Take the private ownership part out of the equation.

I love fighter jets, tanks, rockets & lots of high tech military stuff. Not crazy about guns, but I do appreciate their beauty. Still, I don't need to own them to appreciates them.

Society (not just the USA) really need to away from the assault weapon-ownership mentality... yes, that means asking gun owners to give up that particular rights. But there's virtue in doing it for the society...

Just can't believe the cowardice of those "nothing we can do about it" Republicans like Rubio. It's part of a big, sick symptom of government under the choke-hold of the NRA, Big Business, Big Banks, lobbyists instead of the constituents. Just feel sad for the People.

Deepest State | Full Frontal with Samantha Bee | TBS

Gilsun says...

Not happening in America? There are relationships and combinations of security forces and big business in pretty much every developed country that could be referred to a deep state forces. They can take the form of either side of politics, and are very real. Its just a by product of capitalism and its influence on democracy. To discount the idea of Deep State (left or right) is kinda naive in this day and age I feel.

Bill Maher - New Rule - The Danger of False Equivalency

00Scud00 says...

I love Bill, but I will be happy when this election is over and I don't have to listen to any more of this sanctimonious crap about how not voting for Hillary is a vote for Trump.
Sometimes evil is loud and in your face like Trump, both publicly and in private I suspect Trump is pretty evil, or at least an Olympic class asshole.
Hillary on the other hand is I suspect basically good and is sincere in her desire to help others, but she is still bound by our corrupt political system. She still accepts money from Wall Street and big business and they will expect something in return for those millions. Namely watered down regulation and legislation, and a tax code with more holes than a sieve.
They're paying to continue the status quo, and the status quo for the rest of us means stagnant wages and housing, healthcare and education costs at a rate that would leave the Voyager 1 probe in the dust.

New Poll Numbers Have Clinton Far Behind And Falling

ChaosEngine says...

No, I totally agree. I've made the point several times that in a sane political system you could have a choice between a big business, centre right hawk (Hillary) and a pro-environment, tax and spend socialist (Bernie). That would at least be a valid choice.

It sucks what the DNC did.

But now you have to live with it and what do you do?

Because the wolf is at the door and the stakes are too high to let Trump win.

eric3579 said:

You can hate on the DNC (because they disgust you) and also dislike Hillary, and still not want Trump to win.

Come Visit Australia

transmorpher says...

I'm glad we didn't make the same mistake the kind countries of Europe did, and instead we have a vetting process to help ensure that only genuine refugees are coming in. I'm not saying the approach is necessarily the best one, but what can you do when so many economic migrants are clogging the system (on purpose) for people in genuine need of help. (I'm a refugee myself btw).

If it was up to me I'd add some additional tests to ensure that these people are fit for a modern society too, you know, to make sure my daughter/wife/mother/sister etc can go outside on their own, unlike some cities in Europe now.

But then again if it was up to me, neither of the 3 major political parties would be in charge since they're all useless. Liberals are just a mouth piece for big business (literally, that's why they were formed). And they all also look like the bad guys from any 80s and 90s kids cartoon. The Labour party is well meaning, but ultimately as lame, pathetic and gut-less as their "leader", they simply don't stand for anything and all of their policies boil down the lowest common denominator. The Greens driven by emotion not facts, and now they don't even seem to care about the environment very much.

There needs to be some kind of progressive party that is capable of driving humanity forward into the future, instead of weighing it down with traditions of the past. The whole system needs a huge reform.

Elizabeth Warren: Donald Trump can NEVER be the President

Mordhaus says...

She didn't run this time because she was smart. She saw the writing on the wall that the Democratic Elite wasn't going to risk another upstart challenging 'the Clinton'.

We should be amazed and astounded that Sanders has been able to do as well as he has, given that it was a guaranteed that Hils was going to be the nominee before the primaries even started.

I think that she is now just hoping to be Clinton's pick for VP, since she would bring at least a small amount of anti-establishment credence to the main campaign without being the full on, in the face, challenge that a Sanders VP selection would be. Clinton doesn't want to spend 4 years defending her loving support of big business and wall street from her VP as well as the liberals in her party.

oblio70 said:

Why, oh, why would she not run for POTUS this year? We truly cannot wait another 4 years.

Instead we get Hillary who doesn't know how to attack Donald, among other more serious problems.
