Interesting point! Thanks. Is that your own formulation, or can you cite it for me?

anonymity doesn't change who you are, it reveals it.
Congratulations on reaching new heights on VideoSift. You have earned yourself 40 stars, earning you status of Silver Star member. You have been awarded 1 Power Point for achieving this level. Thanks for all your contributions.
heh, no I don't play - I just love the sound of horns.

Wow, lots of trombone vids in your PQ. You play 'bone? (I do!) You might also like: http://www.videosift.com/video/How-its-made-Trombones
He should have said it, without a doubt.
Oddly, about 30sec before I posted this comment, I posted another apt Python reference in response to another video... it was an odd morning:
"Sooooo, if Obama weighs more than a duck..???"

I was so sure that Cleese was about to say that. I'm glad you did. ;-)

"..and I discovered that the only reason that she's standing at that podium in the first place is that she's been nailed there!"
Oh sweet, didn't know that!

Isn't it also Flea (of Red Hot Chili Peppers) that we see here in a cameo as the hippie in the men's room?
Well, I cannot really say I enjoyed this. I mean, the mere thought of Palin possibly becoming the vp is more than any reasonably thinking person could take, isn't it? But I had been wondering (having access to maps, unlike Ms Palin and Miss Teen South Carolina) what she would actually be able to see "from her home", but was too lazy to dig into it. So, thanks for doing my research for me. Are you from Alaska or did you just happen to come across this vid or did you seriously do some research?
In reply to this comment by wazant:
NP. Glad you enjoyed it!
In reply to this comment by Octopussy:
Thanks for posting this. I know it doesn't really matter, but I had been wondering what/how much/from where one would actually have a view of Russia from Alaska (realising one couldn't possibly see it from either Wasilla, Juneau or Anchorage).
It is pretty cool. As for all the promotes, what can I say - I like your posts!
In reply to this comment by wazant:
Wow! Another promote from Jonny! I must owe you like 10 stars by now...
I think that was my very first attempted sift. Always wondered why it never made it, since I think it's quite cool.

cool! and yeah, great album. we were just discussing classic album covers here, and then i finally 'fixed' this, so i thought it appropriate.
off to rechannel some car sifts.

Confession: me too!
His 3 albums are some of the most valued treasures of my 90s CD collection, so I couldn't help jumping back on the old 900-foot bandwagon by posting another of his videos. Didn't know he used to have long hair!
P.S. Your avatar is the first album I ever owned! (yes, on vinyl)
In reply to this comment by my15minutes:
cool. just caught another mc900'j tune, from a probie:

So we've got like a Fight Club thing going on... I can dig it.

^--- Europe _IS_ USA's dad.
Your Montaigne vid went dead. I don't remember if you made the youtube playlist or not, but here's parts 1, 2, and 3, so you can create a new one or fix an existing one.

Hey, thanks for promote! (Again!) I was especially disappointed when this one didn't make it. Good to see it has now.

The ultimate sarcastic remark both illustrating the ignorance of another and conveying a supreme truth which cannot be argued...
...well done. I'd say you're a masterdebater
In reply to this comment by wazant:
^---Bill O, are you saying that people from San Francisco have forced you into a homosexual lifestyle? I had no idea. How is it going with that? They never seem to find the time to come and force it on me; instead they seem intent on leaving me to enjoy whatever type of sex I like. Wish I could say the same for the Jehovah's Witnesses.
I'll trump that with the following observation. In Vancouver we have a Steam operated clock in our historic disctrict of Gastown (it's not really steam operated, but that's beside the point). The clock is completely inaccurate, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
On the quarter-hour the clock whistles. People wait until it whistles before taking their flash photos. Think about it- people take flash photographs of SOUND!
In reply to this comment by wazant:
I used to think that people taking flash photos of fireworks were the dumbest people on earth--until I saw this video, which features people taking flash photos of a movie. It's like trying to pour yourself a beer at the bottom of a swimming pool.
That was such an awesome concert, wasn't it?
In reply to this comment by wazant:
Ha ha! I was also at one of those YES shows (at Meadowlands arena in New Jersey). Same enthusiastic reaction there (and here). For me, that is THE classic bugs episode. Just found it on YouTube and thought to submit it here, but too late...
In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
It's one of everyone's favorites, JAPR.
Personal anecdote: Right before I went to bootcamp (Navy) in 1987 I saw Yes in concert during their 'Big Generator' tour. They had no opening act, but they ran a couple of cartoons before they started. They showed two cartoons...
