LOL. My thoughts exactly!

Hahaa. Nice avatar. Well that will surely add an interesting twist to a paper about online communities! Thanks for coming out.

I'm glad to see that you enjoyed the interview with Rebecca Watson that I posted a while back--and thanks for promoting it! I wasn't expecting a top-15 hit, but I was kinda disappointed that it died with just my own vote on it. Hopefully more people will check it out this time...
P.S., I also really liked Robert Wright's talk at TED. (your favorite sift)

Wow! Another promote from Jonny! I must owe you like 10 stars by now...
I think that was my very first attempted sift. Always wondered why it never made it, since I think it's quite cool.

Yup, I made the playlist. Also for several other episodes of this series. Fixed 'em all, thanks. YouTube poster is the same. I think he improved the quality and reposted.

Your Montaigne vid went dead. I don't remember if you made the youtube playlist or not, but here's parts 1, 2, and 3, so you can create a new one or fix an existing one.

Hey, thanks for promote! (Again!) I was especially disappointed when this one didn't make it. Good to see it has now.

No problem--and congratulations! Once again, Hong Kong Phooey accidentally and inadvertently saves the day.
I used to have a Hong Kong Phooey lunch box.

Your vote won me the Silver star! Long live you and Bob Dobbs.

Yeah, strange how little love for the Dead we see here on the Sift (half of your otherwise very kind playlist languishes in the discard pile). I almost wanted to send a plea for votes onto SiftTalk, but decided it might be a cheasy move.
I did enjoy your Jack Straw, by the way. A really up-tempo, rocking version. I still get an ironic grin on my face whenever I hear from or about the former British Foreign Secretary of the same name.

Thanks for trying. I think I know where I'll use my first promote.

Hey, saw your playlist and subtle plea for more material so I thought to submit a couple of my favorite Dead classics. You'll find 'em in the queue.

Hey Johnny! Thanks for your comments, and not least for saving Montaigne from the discard bin (it's published now). I went back to fix the Chomsky/Foucault video you flagged, but somebody had already fixed it, but now with an even shorter version! Oh well...
In reply to this comment by jonny:
btw - thanks for the de Botton posts. I loved that series, but didn't get to see them all until you put them up here. Montaigne was awesome.
