Video Flagged Dead

"We Have Had Enough Of Police Brutality We Will Fight Back."

The man charged with the murder of a Seattle police officer last October has a message for the Seattle Police. Evidently he shot this cop in retaliation for the beating of that 15 year old girl in Seattle.

I did not post this because I condone his actions in any way, but hopefully cops will start thinking twice from now on before they start beating on people, etc. which there seems to be a lot of going on these days.

Executions in Washington State

Since 1904, 77 persons have been executed in Washington, none of whom were women.
Executions by Ethnicity

* Caucasian - 65
* Black - 7
* Asian - 2
* Hispanic - 2
* Eskimo - 1

Chances are this turd will die of old age.

It's amazing how every single inmate in the prison system was set-up, framed or wrongly accused. Hell of a coincidence.

PS. Eskimo?

Violent retaliation is wrong, plain and simple. But it is true that something must be done to stop the abuse of law enforcement authority. Hotheads like this will continue to escalate the issue in the wrong direction until something positive is done. That's gotta be top-down pressure from politicians and the courts. And that's gotta come from peaceful people putting the pressure on the politicians.

There are some cases where you can be pushed into violent retaliation and understand that it is your only option. I don't want to get into an ethics debate but we can look at any segment of human history and see this same sort of thing happening on every corner of the earth including the founding of this nation. I don't agree in top down pressure, there has to be changes brought about by the public. In every national debate there's always some extremes who will try to subvert the argument and the people on the other side who will exploit those extremists for their ends. There are far more responsible arguments and a groundswell of opposition to Police brutality or overreaching. There should be policing of the police, and we can do that, we have to act faster or we might have to go through a "growing pain" era of the public vs. the police where a lot of people will die needlessly and mistrust will be sown and might never be restored. Fix this before it gets worse, get organized in your community please.

Also Quantum I've yet to see any scientific study that the death penalty does anything to prevent crimes in a civilized society. I am not against the death penalty, I just think it should be used for criminals who are amongst the most reprehensible of the society.

Hotheads like this are the only ones doing something. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Fortunately for the government and governments policing agencies, our lives are too comfortable for us to invite the risks of revolt. The only ones that do stand up are the ones that have been directly abused.

Things have already been/are being done to stop police brutality, from cameras, to permanent records, to zero-tolerance. Also, police are now being charged with cases of abuse.

I find it funny that there is hardly any outrage when a father smashes his baby's skull, yet he is in authority even higher than the police. He is the father. It is far worse abuse, but it is just a freak rage episode and dissapears in a matter of days (After he is arrested.) But police? Even one minor incident? It creates a way of life for people that last forever.

When I see a cop, I tell my daughters that he/she is a man/woman you can run to if you get lost. Most parents joke, "I'm going to have you arrested by that man!" Yes, it's joking, but the culture does its damage even subtly. Kids fear cops... This discrimination is everywhere you look...

Either way, "I did not post this because I condone his actions in any way, but hopefully cops will start thinking twice from now on before they start beating on people, etc. which there seems to be a lot of going on these days," this was an incredibly stupid post. Should we rape women because they dress slutty---so they won't dress slutty anymore? The comparison is equally ludicrous because both are missing a vital point. YOU CANNOT SHOOT YOUR WAY TO PEACE ANYMORE THAN YOU CAN RAPE YOUR WAY TO CONSERVATIVE.

You wanna change something? Get out there and become an activist to change the laws governing the law. Make it a felony or worse for a cop to abuse a civilian. Or, better, hug a cop and tell him what a great job he is doing when he is being nice.

QM, you think the death penalty is a good thing? How barbaric and archaic.

First, it costs taxpayers big bucks. It is also the biggest form of government power ever. For the state to take a life...everything else is small potatoes in comparision.
Second, it nets those innocent as well as those guilty. Think of 13 video sifters judging whether you committed a crime. Imagine being guilty just for being black. Imagine many things...
Third, it is not punishment enough for this monster to have his arm swabbed with an alcohol pad and be put down humanely like some dog. Let his self-crippled ass sit in a cell, watch the paint peel, and later die of kidney failure on his own. Your pussy ass method sucks.

And don't argue to make the death penalty harsher. Even hanging lasts only a second. Firing squad? Minutes perhaps...

I was saying, that as societies go, we forget the atrocities of the regular Joe and focus on the A-guys in uniform, B-the politicans, C-the movie/rap/sports stars. We forget that in every venue of life there is abuse and those who would abuse.

We should remember well that cops (In America) are simply men and women with a badge. Some are scum, because heroes are everywhere that villians are. Just like real life.

We want something done about this abuse, but most people are completely happy to sit ideally by while their society goes to hell.

Oh, and the skull smashing, drug abuse, rape of children, etcetera, happens even more frequently than cop brutality. So yes, bad things, extremely bad things, happen to children every day. Just like a bad cop going overboard.

Who exactly is the hero? And if you mean the guy in the video, let me ask this. Would he have been a hero had a bullet found the head of a little girl from his gun?

Consequences can be disasterous when guns are used.

I'm "incredibly stupid" because I don't condone his actions, but hope this incident helps other cops to think before they react in a way that will not only cost them their jobs, but more than likely ruin their careers for life? Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent.

What is barbaric are the acts committed by the scum. What is outrageous is these cowards, when captured and unfortunately taken alive, fight tooth and nail to stay among the living. A tiny minority of killers are truly insane, the rest are simply chickensh;t vermin.

I'm all for life sentences and abolishing the death penalty IF these fks were actually being punished. They should all be shipped to a federally-run gulag in Alaska where they would engage in hard icy labor till they died of old age. No visitors, no TV, no movies, extremely limited communication with the outside world. Perhaps a few old books. Now there's no liberal ACLUmunist worth his hammer and sickle that's going to stand for such an arrangement.

Life sentences under that would be fine. Give them a few appeals (Because me and you would never want to be in jail without ever having an appeal,) and leave them to rot in their icy tomb. If they can prove their innocence, fine. If not, ice...

No, cops wont start thinking differently. You hope something good happens from this horrible action... Perhaps I infer to much---like you did when you thought I called you stupid. For that I will apologize, because I was, apparently, not clear enough. I don't even ask that of you friend Duckman, I just want the fuck you taken back. Harsh for a misunderstanding...

Remember, we should never hope that something good comes from tragedy. We should hope good happens from good. Sadly, it takes a plane to crash, 120 people to die horribly, and 1 to live to say, "What a miracle."

When I say the answer needs to be top-down, I mean the community of citizens must put pressure on the politicians (our representatives) who in turn can put pressure on the police to change policies and attitudes. I believe that average citizen is the top. It is we who make everything possible. Without the average citizen, there would be no police, no courts, no politicians. And we need to behave that way, instead of a bunch of individual little chicken-shits who sit around saying "Well, what can I do about it?" You can write to your political representatives about the problem, and encourage all your friends and community organizations (church, social club, athletic club, whatever) to do the same. That's the only way things change.

Or you could cherrish the good cops and do exactly what you said for the bad cops. Without at least respecting the ones that do right, why would anyone want to be right?
