Why is the sift being used to market these cameras?

The Sift is not being used to sell GoPro any more than it's being used to sell iphones and other camera phones. Though I agree, people could stop using the camera name in the post titles, the camera used is irrelevant to the actual video.

Edit: Anyone want a vote their opinion on removing the GoPro Name from the title??
2nd Edit: the original post mentions Duct tape, but nothing about using a GoPro - could be any camera.

I think GoPro is starting to become the generic name for any sport video camera in the same way Kleenex or Aspirin have become the de facto names for tissues or acetaminophen.

I was mostly just sad that the rotation didn't sync with the camera's framerate and produce a steady-ish image. Like the reverse of old TV where car wheels would look like they were going backwards.

Just need a logo and some horns, and you could use a few seconds of any segment of this clip as a Batman transition scene...

And yes - "GoPro" is here used as "generic sport video camera". I'll remove it from the title if it is found offensive.

The whole GoPro thing means nothing to me, I don't even own a Digital Video Camera. but for some reason, some people do take umbrage with how quickly they took over the market for action oriented personal video.
I find the scenario "interesting".

Aye exactly; there's no need for the product name in every title of a video that is made using one, surely. I don't know the exact term for what this is, but it reeks of viral marketting/product placement, or whatever, and it's simply not necessary - these are just... videos. Anyway, thanks for listening
