I work for enviromental defense and no, We get these type of people all the time on the line. They claim that global warming is just something that some scientist invented to scare us. Basically democrats believe it...They mail us all the time.

umm, i'm a little confused... the pollution i think is the problem is Carbon MONOxide (CO). Carbon DIOxide (CO2) is a naturally occurring gas... that'd be like trying to ban Nitrogen...

I actually wouldn't have a problem with this if they answered their own question: "What would our lives be like then?" That's what makes this propaganda and not refutation. There's no information here.

I don't know what the problem is if it's labeled a "pollutant"? We have many legal pollutants, it just means that there's going to be an additional cost to it, so you as a business will either bear the cost, on-charge it, or look for ways to be more efficient, less "pollutive" and look for ways to do the same thing with non-pollutive methods.

The fact is, whether it's a pollutant or not, we should all be trying to conserve. If you don't believe it's for environmental reasons, believe it for your own pocket. Can't hurt.

Who's going to pay the additional cost for all those polluting volcanoes, rotting vegetation, and forest fires? You environmentally conscious people make me laugh with your contrived explanations for natural events and your fear mongering. In the 70's it was global cooling and now it's global warming. In 2030 it will be global cooling again. Will you then tell every one to burn more fuel to produce more CO2? There was a town in California that actually proposed an ordinance to ban Styrofoam cups because the manufacturing process used dihydrogen oxide, a known cause of severe injuries and thousands of deaths annually. There was some embarrassment but no acknowledgment of environmental knee jerk lunacy when it was pointed out that dihydrogen oxide is actually water. So forgive me if I seem a bit skeptical of a scientific "consensus" of the global warming "facts". After all, it was once a scientific "consensus" that the earth was flat and at the center of the solar system.
