TYT commentary on the movie "Christmas with a Capital C".
alwayssays...

Blah blah blah. Drumming up controversy where there is none. A few Christmases ago in the town square of Vernon, Connecticut there was a display erected by the Connecticut Valley Atheists, depicting the still-standing Twin Towers of the World Trade Center with the caption "Imagine No Religion." Not less than fifty feet from this exhibition was the hamlet's traditional Nativity scene. Neither was marred by vandalism or abuse, each standing for the entirety of the Christmas season. This is because the majority of Americans understand what the First Amendment of our Constitution means.

Surely this film is nothing but schlock propaganda whose only intent is to stir up a potentially passionate minority of the United States. But whose interests are being served with such a piece? What exactly does the movie want its viewers to do with the falsely stoked rage? Bill O'Reilly for one salivates at the broadcast each year when he gets to declare the never existent war on Christmas that the "secular progressive elite" has waged on the the "real America."

Sigh.

In response to the "Christians happened to have started the United States" line I looked up "puritans" on wikipedia and found this:

"The first Puritans of New England certainly disapproved of Christmas celebrations, as did some other Protestant churches of the time. Celebration was outlawed in Boston from 1659 to 1681. The ban was revoked in 1681 by an English-appointed governor Sir Edmund Andros, who also revoked a Puritan ban against festivities on Saturday night; but it was not until the mid 19th century that celebrating Christmas became fashionable in the Boston region.[32] Likewise the colonies banned many secular entertainments, such as games of chance, maypoles, and drama, on moral grounds."

Christian Propaganda always has a way of Demonizing that which opposes it.

Taking someones basic rights of "Choice" and inflating the controversy to make them seem absolutely "Evil" and against society in general.

I don't know how this movie, ends. The best way to do it would be both sides come to terms and agree to live and let live but in all rights the best option would have been to not make this movie at all!
