This man needs to be hired for off... Good job Vermont. Although I would like to see his funding and lobbyists (that he accepted). He did go on a show that actually included a journalist (Rhodes Scholar isn't some worthless award).

/Yes, I know she is lesbian. But, if that changes your latitude and ability to give a damn about what is on her show... I'm sure I could find something fitting (there will be no_picture) crankmfinger.gif .

I noticed @peggedbea posted this. How do you think our politicians here in Utah would do if he got up during an assembly and said this? Would he be (by default) our anti-(Retard)Chris Buttars. Or would that require five people to undo his legacy of ultra-idiocy. (I don't want to offend people with low-IQs, retardation, etc... But, this man is an idiot and yet he somehow manages to get other Utah lawmakers to agree with him)

i was talking today with a small business owner. his net work is around $15 million today. he started his business in the late 70's when taxes were much higher. this was his point, when taxes were around 50% he had the option of either giving 50% of his profits to the government OR spending that revenue to hire new employees or buy new equipment. he would always choose to spend extra money to lessen his tax burden and this is what drives the economy. it's unfathomable to a man who has run his own small business for 30 something years to set the tax burden so low that it is cheaper to just pay the taxes than it is to reinvest in the company. i'm sure most of you have already considered this point, but i hadn't thought about it until he brought it up. it seems 15% more absurd to me now ... the logic that corporate taxes kill jobs. giving corporations reasons to spend more money, hire more people, buy more equipment seems to be what helps an economy to thrive.

of course i guess one justification is that if taxes go too high, companies will just relocate to developing countries where everything is cheaper. moving to china was never an option to this man so we never discussed that side of the story.
