Robert Newman's History of Oil

Wow. I´ve GOT to have that on DVD or similar. Very well made, very funny, very impressive facts, very interesting and a very intelligent message.

I recommend that to everyone.

...and no, it isn´t the typical america-bashing as you could expect from the first minutes. He really tries to be objective and deals a lot with his own country (GB).

Again: Very good. I would love to see that in the Top-List

Terrifying... Most conspiracy theories are laughable and based on paranoia. I'm not used to such radical ideas presented in the context of history and science, with supporting evidence to boot. I need to digest this.

This piece leads well into "An Inconvenient Truth" with its talk of the Siberian oil fields at the end, and the relative insignificance of the collapse of industry compared with the environmental disaster that would follow.

That was a great show. All of those ideas have been out in public knowledge for a while, you just need to know where to look. But he does a good job of tying it together. Makes for a good introduction.

Fantastic - maybe he's a genius, or maybe he just does a lot of rehearsing but he's on a higher level of intelligence than most comedians that talk about this stuff - he's obviously done a lot of research so he brings along more than just humor.
