SarzyWhaaaat? Does that really work? I've gotta try that!
BoneRemakebunch of bullshit to do though, I would rather do it by hand under a light stream of tepid water.
shagen454Holy shit! I thought I had the best garlic peeling method where you push the garlic down with a knife but this blows that method out of the water!
G-bar says...I'm sorry but that's a load of crap... maybe he buys the Pussy type of garlic, but the garlic where I come from needs a bloody chainsaw to be peeled...
*the writer didn't try the above mentioned method and firmly believes in his rightousness and no evidence whatsoever would dissuade him from his belief.
DerHasisttotHipster cook shows you his method, you probably haven't heard of it before.
FantomasHe needs to put a hairnet on his beard.

AeroMechanical says...I just roll 'em between my hands.
residueI usually just stick it all in my mouth and shake my head around so I don't have to wash any bowls

Someone else needs to confirm this, I don't trust anyone named Jehosephat.
spoco2He said dickens.

MarineGunrockI use a LOT of garlic when I cook, but not nearly as much as that guy. I never need to peel more than 4 or 5 cloves, so this technique isn't really all that handy for the average person, I'd say.
Jinx says...Good thing he had those two bowls to hand.
See, thing is, I pretty much always have my hands to hand, and chances are I'll have a knife too. I've never remembered thinking "Wow this garlic is taking MUCH longer than 10 seconds to peel".
All in all I'm not that impressed. Show me how to de-seed and dice a pepper in under 10 secs or something and we can talk.
DeanoI like this. When I do peel garlic it's often when i need it most. Maybe i could do a bunch ahead of time and the entire household can dip in when they need one. Would also save on mess.
RyjkyjWhen you do need to peel and cut garlic, it helps if you wash it off with cold water and soap first, then hot. It will keep the pores on your hands closed while you get the majority of it off. That way the smell won't stick around so easily. I assume this is why people don't like peeling garlic because as far as physical effort, isn't it pretty easy? I mean... come on.
blankfistGreat trolling.
jatoha says...If you look closely at the clove in the last frame, you can see a bit of peel still on it

yea unless the average person has to all of a sudden de-velvet (my own term) forty cloves for whatever reason.
Have your say...
