Paybacksays...

I was hoping for something different. Like SHE was a young "monster" and her looking human was self image... Or the monsters only choose little females and left the rest of people alone. Hell, I would have been satisfied the family is just a bunch of sick fucks playing mind games... true "monsters".

plot twists like M. Night Shyamalan on crack

Phreezdrydsays...

This kind of has the feel of a right wing nightmare/fantasy, in which big government has been allowed to run rampant, and now the U.S. is like China, with the one-child policy. The swift and brutal enforcement of a police state, instead of a fine, or trial.

The kids already in the van didn't seem upset at all.

oritteroposays...

Since China has just ended their one child policy, this film is quite topical. Even before the policy was ended, the punishment for a second child was a fine or a trial - child kidnappings in China tend to be freelance work rather than government sponsored.
