Mac Web Ad: Don't Give Up on Vista

macrumors: The Apple advertisement features "Mac" and "PC" as played by Justin Long and John Hodgman in a web ad composed of two separate components. The first is a traditional 720x90 pixel horizontal leaderboard at the top of the page as well as a large vertical rectangle on the right side of the page feature the actors. (Several readers have noted a new web-only advertisement from Apple that has appeared on a number of sites, including News.com, Engadget.com, and PCMag.com.)

Vista is running just fine for me, and I can't stand how dumbed-down Macs are (I use XP, Vista, Tiger, and Leopard on a nigh-daily basis, so I'm not just talking out of my ass here), but it's still creative.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)

How do you mean dumbed down nibiyabi? I use both quite a lot too- and I don't get that.

If you want to talk dumbed-down, how about a little dog that sniffs around when you try to search (XP), or a firewall that blocks incoming and outgoing at every move (Vista).

I like having a unix terminal built in Vi, perl and all the other command line goodies that I can't get on Windows.

I like macs and pcs, and work on both, but honestly feel that vista is a better OS than anything mac has out right now. For too long I would wish I had a mac for the cool fresh feel, but with vista I feel like I'm using the coolest os out. Aesthetics mean alot to me and i think vista's look and feel are spot on. For the first time in I don't know how long I like using my computer for the OS alone.(ok after a few tweaks to remove nags and get things set, and yeah sure I need twice as much ram)

Mac software feels tired to me(except for the remote and flip down media playing), while the design of mac products is still amazing. I guess you can run boot camp or parallels with vista if you want the mac ID, which is great, but I love my new carbon fiber sony laptop.

If their is one thing I dislike about macs it is their DRM stance, crap software(itunes), and crap support for windows they provide for their ipods. (oh and their rather stupid ads about macs and pcs)
