I purdy lady...I shoot gun...vote for meee!

Yet another republican candidate who thinks that shooting a gun makes them tough.

Edit: Don't forget to vote for dystopianfuturetoday's awesome remix! http://videosift.com/video/Pamela-Gorman-for-Congress-The-Wilhelm-Remix

oh hush, like you never made a spelling error.

Not when criticizing someone on their intelligence.

What does someone's intelligence have to do with a typo? Even the smartest people in the world are capable of a typo or two.

That said, what in the world makes this woman think just because she can fire a weapon, this qualifies her as a good candidate?

Haha, fucking hell. What kind of intelligence must you have if you believe that typos are an indication of it? Get off your high horse why dontcha.

Did someone get Lisa Simpson to approve that message?

Yet another sifter pedantically looking for typos, because he has nothing else to do. Youtube has a far better selection of people who don't spell well, and I'm sure they'll be happy to be corrected. Everyone loves to be corrected.

Then why the negativity? The error of the original poster has been corrected. Do you feel a duty to be the 7th person to criticize me for the same thing?

Actually, I am very tolerant when someone misspells or uses improper grammar. The point of my original comment was to show the irony of the article submitter. By using this one video Lann in essence called this candidate ignorant. As obtuse as this video is, I am sure she is not ignorant.

Shut the fuck up.

My sarcasm creator wasn't turned on high enough on that last part. The point of my comment was not to criticize you for correcting someone, but for the way in which you did it. Patronizing, assuming ignorance for a typo. It's fine to correct, but don't be a dick about it.

My criticism of the OP is that he implied ignorance to Ms. Gorman from this one video without knowing her. Then he makes a simple and obvious error. I pointed this out not because of the simple spelling error but because of the irony of the situation. Apparently there are too many people reading this thread that can't grasp this simple concept.

Personally, go right ahead and criticize me. I don't care because I know the caliber of the typical reader on this site.

The thing is, it's not really ironic. It's a pretty safe assumption from this video alone that this woman IS your typical garden-variety, ignorant, know-nothing, religiotard, fundamentalist Right-winger. She'd maybe say something of her actual politics if she had anything substantial to offer besides "Me Jane. Me shoot em stuff reel gud! Me also pretty; me have value. Vote Jane."

The same really can't be said of a simple typo. It's apples to oranges.

rougysays...

She's an opportunistic weasel woman.

Vote for that woman if you're rich or a gun freak.

Otherwise, she'll shit on you at her own convenience.

The southwest of America is half filled with skanks like her.

I wasn’t going to say anything because I would just be repeating what everyone else here has been saying....but fuck it.

First off, thanks for the catch on the typo maximillian! Without you I would have gone throughout life thinking “tough” was spelt “though” because by calling me ignorant based on a TYPO that must have been what you really assumed. You know, being articulate doesn’t save one from ignorance either.

I’m sure she’s downplaying herself here to portray that down home, gun toting, country girl image. Yeah...I don’t know a lot about this broad but she took the time and effort to create this stupid video. When I first saw this it read like a cheap car sales add. I mean look at her shoot away those high taxes!

Also, I am a female who grew up hunting and shooting guns in rural Montana. None of that made me more qualified for ANYTHING in life. I think women everyone should be admired for what they do in life…but being rich and buying guns and shooting them in the air isn’t really admirable or a good show of qualifications IMO.

Shooting expensive guns doesn’t make anyone more bad ass or though tough. Exactly why I put "yawn" as a tag…Lann is not impressed

I don't know who is responsible for returning these ancient sifts to the queue, in order to join the lamestream media in trying to pin the murderous actions of a lone, mentally-ill vermin on Sarah Palin, the Tea Party or the Right. In a more perfect world you would feel shame, but bolsheviks eat, sleep and breathe lies. Twenty or even ten years ago you might have gotten away with it, but not now. Team Soros has no traction with the majority any more.

"Lone, mentally-ill vermin". With deference to @bareboards2, I'll quote Stephen Budianski:

"For as long as I can remember, I have heard conservatives blaming everything that is wrong in the universe, from violent crime to declining test scores to teen pregnancy to rude children to declining patriotism to probably athlete's foot... upon Dr. Spock, Hollywood liberals, the abolition of prayer in school, Bill Clinton, the "liberal 1960s," the teaching of evolution — in other words, upon symbols, rhetoric, cultural norms, and the values expressed by political and media leaders. Yet from the moment when someone gets a gun in their hands, apparently, society ceases to have any influence whatsoever on the outcome and individual responsibility takes hold 100%. Something is driving the tripling of death threats against congressmen (and the concomitant rise in threats against Federal judges and other villains of the right, from Forest Service rangers to climate scientists) and it isn't the sunspot cycle."
