I dont think thay are that bad i mean personaly as long as i know something isnt realy going to do a large amount of harm then i wudent be to fussed. i would become pritty atached to them as thay shaird my body. onyl problem i can see is infectoin after taking it out especaily in the enviroment he was in but other than that annything magoty normaly only eats dead flesh ore a miniamul amount of flesh.
