Al Qaeda infiltrates Fox News--Daily Show

I learned more from that super small segment then from anything else I've seen on the mainstream news. Sometimes it seems like him and colbert are the only ones on tv calling the main news stations out for the sick fucks they are (like showing nothing but fire-raging-hell snap-footage. Thank god for context and a "news anchor" that doesn't make me want to puke.

Hey antimatter: you know what scares the shit out of me. More people get their news from Pundits on both sides of the political spectrum, than anywhere else. It's a sad day when we rely on news from comedians.

The sad thing is we can't rely on regular newscasts to give us news straight and therefore must rely on comedians (and their team of writers). To be fair there is skewing of news in any sort of newscast, but for the most part these comedians show us things that other newscasts wouldn't dare to.

I don't know anybody who actually relies on these guys for the news themselves. Rather, they exploit the constant opportunities for comedy created by the news programs through clever satire.

arg!! I could watch this yesterday, but today none of the Comedy Central embeds are working for me, looks like they have made the embeds un-available to Canadian's and possibly other countries as well...

Thousands of people were polled as to their knowledge about current political events in America, and they also listed their primary news sources. Newspapers were of course #1, but they were followed very closely by, believe it or not, Stewart/Colbert. Then there is a sizable dropoff, followed by public broadcasting, then local broadcasting, and then finally all of the standard national news networks, with Fox firmly at the bottom, of course.

Can't find the poll though . . . it irks me that I can't find anything because of these recent moves.
