Abby Martin denounces Russian actions in Ukraine

Let's see if state-sponsored RT allows Martin a higher degree of journalistic independence than MSNBC did with Phil Donohue or Ashleigh Banfield after they spoke out against the illegal invasion of Iraq.

Good for her, but i'd be shocked if that isn't the end of it entirely from RT. Really only getting the cherry picked videos i occasionally saw on the sift, i used to think RT offered an interesting perspective. I started visiting their website for news and, wow. The articles were so absurdly anti-US, anti-West, pro-Russian government it was comical. I started visiting the site nearly every day curious to see if i'd ever find an article on their front page even marginally critical, even indirectly of the Russian government. That was weeks ago and to date i still haven't.

"In an appalling rant, Abby Martin unapologetically proclaims that the people of Ukraine are losers."

This is exactly the kind of hypocrisy the world loves about the US media. If she stays on, Putin will merely appear to truly believe he is right and correct. If he shit cans her, he'll look like he's afraid of a woman. I think nothing will become of this.

My comment was a play on the intentional manipulation some news networks use to twist opponents' quotes to fit their own agenda.

Was that really not clear?

Wow really? Like this was not thrown out there to try and get people to think RT is not Putin's personal propaganda station. This lady has less journalistic integrity than a "News of the World" reporter before it was closed.

Clear, but I considered it unnecessary. Until the majority of alternative media starts speaking clearly as to the source of the disinformation disease that has created the world we live in, no news is real news.

Until the veil is lifted to expose the criminality of world governments and the families and complicit lackeys responsible for the amalgamation of power into a single world governing body all the endless banter over particular recent political and economic events without reaching farther back historically, for me negates all reasonable context for what's happening now.

It's the powers behind the puppets and pawns who need to have their shit scrutinized and reported upon, until they have nowhere to hide.

Follow the goddamn money, the entire collection of the world's ill's reside in monopolistic control by assholes, of the worldwide financial system.

Banks, insurance companies, lawyers, doctors, all work well when there is a healthy atmosphere of fear and dread, THIS is the only real power geopolitical manipulators have.

The world's fear they have and continue to instill. They do it by manipulating economies, enforcing laws with soldiers, and through complex and not-so-complex, continual distraction and disinformation.

Like Herbert said, "Fear is the mind-killer."

As long as humanity existed, there was always this one guy who had more resources/power than the others in his group. That one guy always exploited his power at times to the detriment of others. Sometimes he died in his sleep but most of the time he was chased away from that group or murdered. We called him leader, chief, king or Mister. His job description ranges from warrior, dictator, priest, president, manager to entrepreneur. We will always have a guy like that.
And we will always have another guy who dislikes that fact. Sometimes the other guy becomes the one he used to dislike but most of the time he doesn't make much of a difference.
It's just how things are, how we are. Always have been.
It's not going to change.
