Google Video is Shutting Down
Google Video will be shut down in the next few months; don't fear about your sifts however, those will continue to be hosted.
Quote from Google Video Blog
In a few months, we will discontinue support for uploads to Google Video. Don't worry, we're not removing any content hosted on Google Video -- this just means you will no longer be able to upload new content to the service. We've always maintained that Google Video's strength is in the search technology that makes it possible for people to search videos from across the web, regardless of where they may be hosted. And this move will enable us to focus on developing these technologies further to the benefit of searchers worldwide.
So you know... FYI... I guess... I dunno.

Translation: We bought YouTube and since you can search through us to get just about every video site on the web we feel we're just doing double the work.
Makes sense, really. I've been wondering when they would ditch it, given (again) that they own YouTube.
Oh that sucks. Youtube is fucking horrible for anything beyond 10 minutes in length.
Plus fast forwarding on Google Video actually works!
Yeah, this is unfortunate news... sigh... oh well.
It was a good place for documentaries. Damn.
