Very well done! Was the audio source from the camera or a separate mic?

From the built in mic on the camera! It's really one of the best "in camera" mics I have ever heard. It records audio in Dolby 5.1, with 4 mic capsules, which might be another reason behind the great quality of the audio.

Just fantastic. Really. I love the first "scene." It was already an excellent shot by itself, but the ant really brought it up to another level of kickassosity. Kind of funny: Before hitting play, the preview looked to me like a single diamond setting on the back of a lizard's head.

If I didn't know better, from this vid alone I'd guess you shot it in some rural area rather than your sleepy little village of Los Angeles. Keep 'em coming.

Lucky: Nope that is L.A. in all it's glory, actually I live about a mile from Dodger Stadium, which if you are familiar with L.A. it's pretty much in downtown.

MG: I think you can get this camera for around 1k, it's a Sony HDR-SR1, it records to an internal Hard Drive, no tape! They have released several newer models of the camera since I purchased it a year ago, with larger hard drives being the major change.

Excellent vid, I'm kind of amazed that such high quality results is within (reasonably) affordable reach.
