calvadosWas offered Swedish love and French love...but not American love. American love; like Coke in green glass bottles...they don't make it anymore.
NinjaInHeatsays...I haven't watched the movie yet as I promised myself I'd read the novel first, which I'm doing right now. Anyways, Rorschach is definitely one of the more memorable characters I've ever seen, if you enjoyed his film adaptation you should definitely grab the graphic novel.
BoneRemakeimmediate up. watched it four five times now. You notice something different every time, from someone in the back ground to a link to a scene. Excellent movie
xxovercastxxI thought they ruined the story by trying to turn it into an action movie. It's not supposed to be action; it's a drama.
All the time they spent on stupid fight scenes could have been better used on the parts of the story they cut out.
I was glad they got rid of the giant space squid, but I think I would have preferred they kept the original ending just with a less-ridiculous looking alien.
xxovercastxxSomeone should do Rorschach's Journal versions of the regular news kinda like those god-awful Autotune The News bits only without all the god-awfulness.

thyazideThe very best version of this film is: http://www.amazon.com/Watchmen-Ultimate-Blu-ray-Zack-Snyder/dp/B002IYEQR4
It includes every bit of the story (accept the original alien monster plot/ending) including the black freighter animated short, and all the extra scenes they cut for time. Its amazing.
entr0pyWhy would a prostitute solicit a guy wearing a magic swirling insanity mask? Were there no men with masks made of human skin walking down the street that night?
arghnesssays...I was impressed at how like the comic (err... novel) Jackie Earle Haley, who played Rorschach / Walter Kovaks, looked in the film. Having read the comic (err... novel) first, I couldn't quite work out how he'd look in real life.

you should also get Watchmen - Motion Comic 1-12, it's the comic book, animated and voiced by the movie actors. very interesting experience.
RedSky^ This is what I did. Chapter 6 dealing with Rorschach was definitely the stand out of the graphic novel, far more fleshed out than the portrayal in the movie, although understandably it had to make compromises as his background isn't exactly all that pertinent to the main plot.
They really should have made this in a mini-series and followed the novel more or less to the page. Taking in the entirety of the novel in one sitting, let alone by an audience used to simple blockbuster superhero movies like Spiderman and Iron Man was never a good idea.
