Realy good post , its a shame its so hard to find medical videos on the internet , i think its something that all people should be exsplosed to at a young age.

I dont undersdtand why we only look at crap drawings when we have the technoligy and resources to educate people into thew full workings of the body and how it can be repared using video.

the added benofit of stuff like this is that people can be more understanding of what its like for amputees , the historical state of war sergary, and the realities of war.

I grew up watching the sitcom M.A.S.H. and now only after twenty years and several wars later do I, an average non-medical civilian, get exposed to the true reality of war.

I feel somewhat betrayed by the media and in a larger sense by a culture that treats the adult population like fragile infants who need to hear a fairy tale at bedtime.

The corporate interest dominated media has blood, endless blood and misery, on their hands as does the government for allowing the wholesale prostitution of the media outlets.

The average citizen deserves some blame too for their ignorance is willful. They (and I) knew we were sheltered and pampered yet we're too comfortable to bother educating ourselves.

Awk-waaaaarrrrd.

Think you're a little tough on yourself there, bub.

Images like these upset the average person and it's hard to explain them away so the Gate Keepers [power elite] tuck them away.

To blame the average population for not viewing these images..

is like blaming the urban citizenry for not noticing the meteor about destroy the planet because:

1. The event is obscured by so many other priorities.
2. Even if you take notice, you're still powerless to prevent it.

You're not gonna overthrow status quo culture anytime soon so blaming the sheep for the wolf's propaganda campaign is simply misguided angst.

Land mines are evil.

Fascinating video. No idea they left the wound open like that, and that guys arm in the first part was a complete mess. If anything I am amazed they can salvage anything when so much muscle and bone is showing. Amputations are pretty grim too, takes a certain kind of person to do that job.
