In the 28th century, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are a team of special operatives charged with maintaining order throughout the human territories. Under assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two embark on a mission to the astonishing city of Alpha—an ever-expanding metropolis where species from all over the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence and cultures with each other. There is a mystery at the center of Alpha, a dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets, and Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.

Looks visually stunning - so why do I think I will be yawning half-way through the movie? When will Hollywood learn that story and character has to come first - then the beautiful vision.
I hope I'm wrong. 5th Element was good - but what was good and memorable were the characters.
Having said that - I would like to play this as a VR game.
MordhausWhat No Man's Sky should have been...
RFlaggGiven the amount of influence that Valérian and Laureline comics had on the Star Wars movies, with many scenes ripped right out of them, and many other sci-fi movies, it is probably long overdue. Of course too many people may go, "oh, that's a rip off of xyz", when it is actually the other way.
They are available to read online, though not sure how black/grey market those are, so I won't directly link to its sources on Read Comic Books Online or others...

SagemindI don't care - All original Sci-fi / Fantasy Movies get my vote - So tired of Sequels
SagemindWithout the Megalith Disney Marketing Machine behind it - it's lifespan will be short lived - so lets hope it burns brightly while it's here.

Agreed - Lucy was dreck. 5th Element was kind of trashy, but Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman and Chris Tucker made it great.
