That song is around six years old. A lot of rap sounds like that because that's what radio wants. You must not listen to much rap at all to not know all rap doesn't sound like that. Some of the best story telling songs, interesting plays on words, similes, metaphors, alliteration, and rhyme patterns are found in most good rap.
