I can tell by looking at the pixels that this is photoshopped.

you can pause it right when it breaches the water surface that its imposed fighter plan on a white missile, one of those tomarhawks or whatever your supposed to ph3ar off of subs.

Because it is unstable and it uses a lot of fuel. But an F-15 could otherwise take off vertically, with a thrust to weight ratio as high as 1.6 with afterburners going. I'm not sure it could actually achieve that thrust while stationary, though.

Afterburners of course don't work without substantial air compression. The air is compressed when the plane is travelling really fast, say 500mph. Even if an F-15 could control the vertical takeoff (no way in hell with no control surfaces or nose rockets), it would never have the thrust from a standstill.


Also, this has to be a dupe. It is ancient video...

..not to mention that the sub that launched this thing would have been really crowded!

There is a current skunkworks project with a UCAV that does the same thing though.

It's a really good fake, though.

I'd upvote it if it was a faked great white shark blasting off.
