flechettesays...I like the red car that drives through the accident scene...

siftbotAdding video to channels (Horrorshow) - requested by dbot2006.
MaxWilderAt least three people were injured or killed, if I am seeing this correctly. Just horrible.
edit: Early reports say only one person was injured. I don't buy it.

They guy on the left hand side of the bridge could have been protected by metal framework on the bridge. I certainly hope he was. And the couple on the right seem to have just been missed. The artical says "Two other people on the footbridge escaped without injury." That must be refering to them.
I certainly hope they're all alright.
videosiftbannedmeWell, there's one person on the left and 4 people total on the right (5 if you could the guy way in the lead). A second later, you see three people running on the right, so the fourth may either have been stunned, blocked by the dump truck in the foreground, etc. Or they could have been injured. Regardless, a senseless accident that could have been easily avoided.
rougyI've seen quite a few of these types of accidents in videos, not exactly the same, but similar, and it always seems like the ones that happen in foreign countries have a lot of people stop what they're doing and run to help, whereas in America, most of the people just keep on driving.
DraxSo long as the two on the right DID make it (and I sincerely hope they did) they got -real- lucky. That was close to being a much more grave accident.
antOMG.
thinker247Apparently the guy in the red car was late for work.
shagen454Looks like the people on the right were lucky enough that the bridge structure withstood the destruction and were able to get away with their lives intact ; but the person on the left side I don't know, that definitely looks like a bone crushing accident. He/she stopped beforehand noticing this truck coming at the bridge thinking, "oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!... OH SHIT!" WHAM! Ahhhhh! That's the stuff nightmares are made of.
Drachen_Jagersays...The guy on the left had a hard fall, I imagine he was the one injured, but he should have moved back instead of just stopping and standing there when he saw it coming (he could have warned the others too!) the two on the right you can barely make them out running for it and just making it away from the damaged section as it collapses.

Something like that I guarantee you the guy on the left froze and his brain had trouble believing what he was seeing. It was busy fumbling over, 'That looks like it's too.. is it REALLY tall enough to...?', and then WHAM. Probably a part of his reasoning felt foolish for a brief moment to think it WAS gonna hit.
tasseo4says...If you look closely at the poor guy on left, I doubt he made it out. a huge amount of debris falls on him right after he hits the ground.
zombieaterIt's interesting how the guy on the left stops walking just before the truck hits - it seems like he sees what's going to happen, but can't really believe it.

Really? You're gonna try and use that to rag on America? I watched the video and couldn't believe how many people kept on driving in it.... IN TURKEY. Whats with the "hater-ade" for America? Any time I've seen an accident video like this in America everyone stops and comes running, unlike the cars driving through the remains of the bridge here.
siftbotReplaced video embed code with backup #32 (supplied by member maatc) - embed replaced by member brycewi19.
brycewi19Crap, I totally accidentally hit the replace button when rewinding the vid. I thought the original version was better.
Went and found the link and vid in case you want it back, Duckman33:

KrupoI'm not going to join in a dog-pile of bitching, but you did in fact have a few yahoos, red car leading the charge, who not only kept driving, but drove through the accident scene.
Pretty cheap behaviour there, I wouldn't use this as an example of a virtuous foreign nature vs. the American Deeevils.
