newtboysays...Washington state apples? Um....that's New Zealand, not Washington.
Not sure how this could work on established trees unless they're espaliered.
BSRsays...How do you even know this word!?
Your lexiphanicism sends me to Google more than I desire.
espaliered.
Curioussays...It looks like it really tears up the leaves with that vacuum hose. I also wonder if it's intelligent enough to identify rotten apples and not bin them with the good ones.
Sagemindsays...Robots! Eliminating jobs for humans, one job at a time....
And then they came for my job....
Sagemindsays...The leaves are irrelevant, they grow back.
As far as rotten ones, they don't have rotten ones, they're heavily coated in pesticides - The future of tomorrows food!

Sagemindsays...I think the title implies that Washington is next - because of course, no one else in the world grows apples......
Here they come...

Sagemindsays...Sorry, One more Synic comment. ---
Apples aren't even grown on trees any more, they are more like Bushes, because they've engineered them to be smaller and yeild more fruit, like berries. This is just fact, It started several years ago with the creation of the Dwarf tree, and Orchardists are scrambling to replace their crops to stay competitive!
BSRsays...Tell me more about the good ole days grandpa!

newtboysays...If they want a real test, they are welcome to come pick my orchard. I have 30 apple trees running from 8 ft to well over 30 ft tall, most unpruned.
I did feel vindicated when I noticed that, in your video, the trees had all been espaliered.

BSRsays...Oh stop already!
...unless they're espaliered.
newtboyjokingly says...That is English, motherfucker, do YOU speak it?
Espalier: a fruit tree or ornamental shrub whose branches are trained to grow flat against a wall, supported on a lattice or a framework of stakes.
It's not an advanced or unused word, especially for orchard owners and gardeners.
Edit: I will not be dumbing down my vocabulary to accommodate someone else...they can choose to learn or remain ignorant of their own native tongue. I shall not become a lowest common denominator speaker....that only serves to make us all as dumb as Trump.
Oh stop already!
BSRsays...That's what I'm trying to say but I can't find the right word.
EDIT: bitch
It's not an advanced or unused word, especially for orchard owners and gardeners.
