Lodurrsays...Fascinating. I just wanted a quick look but I ended up watching the whole thing. It's a great story and they don't over-dramatize it.
jimnmssays...Since this aired in 1997, I wonder what advancements have been made regarding this condition since then.
BreaksTheEarthsays...Absolutely fascinating.
Haldaugsays...Brilliant!

kronosposeidonsays...That is amazing. I don't know if I could do what Ian does. Probably not, because I would be too depressed just knowing that for the rest of my life I was going to need to think out every single little bodily movement. In other words I'd get wrapped up in feeling sorry for myself, I suppose.
eric3579says...*promote Ian! Absolutely astonishing. Glad I took the time to watch this video.

Indeed, I've fallen apart over far less. I'll keep Ian in mind next time I don't feel like I can pull myself together.

Jinxsays...Amazing.
I imagine it to be like QWOP (http://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html) only for every muscle in the body.
Its a testament to what willpower and human intelligence can adapt to.
rottenseedsays...The doctors told him that he would never walk, feed himself, or dress himself again. Yet against all the odds, he has made an apparently miraculous recovery.
Is that a testament to his will and perseverance or a demonstration of how shitty and lazy doctors can be?
