Tennessee Republicans Ban Beyoncé

Tennessee has decided to return to puritanical Edwardian morals by law with their anti drag show law that actually is so broad and poorly written that it bans any topless performances (male or female), “sexualized” dancing (so any dancing), cross dressing (no more women in pants), quick changes, or anything else that offends the Republican’s delicate sensibilities.

This totally unconstitutional attempt to censor an entire population, cancel them, is so poorly drafted that it essentially bans any performances more risqué than Andy Williams. It bans professional wrestling (should be banned from tv too), it bans ANY popular music performances in Tennessee. It appears to also ban any tv show or movie pg13 or higher.

Tennessee already had laws making it a crime to be “obscene” in front of minors, so this law only broadens “obscene “ to mean anything that melts Republican snowflakes.

This is going to destroy the Tennessee economy…deservedly so.

At the same time the actually treasonous and terrorist anti constitutional Republican Party in Florida is abusing their majority to try to end democracy and BAN the Democratic Party over 160 year old nonsense in Florida because they’re afraid they’re going to lose power.

see it as a means to measure the tolerance (and/or apathy) of voters.

none of these laws are constitutional. vicious outwardly; violent and inwardly vile. they are testing the water to see how far they can go before the tide sweeps them away.

bad brains, black hearts, stewed minds & wanton desires.

i blame Reagan.

It sounds like a lot of what goes on at a WWE event might be illegal, per this law. Ultra-jacked dude walks down the ramp to some thumping tune and rips off his tank top before jumping in the ring? Straight to jail.
