mxxconok, when he said "you didn't fool us" the kid just accepted it. how do we know Penn wasn't bsing?
he should either explain how it's done or tell the kid privately to confirm.

They were both pretty simple tricks for the most part. Still for a kid that age, he had great stage presence and it was wonderful to see him acknowledged as such.

Regardless if it's a simple trick. This kid passed pre-screening process, so his trick was good enough to get him on this show, so they should treat everybody with equal respect and follow their show's guidlines

RFlaggI agree the tricks are too well known to have fulled them, I've seen them both done and I would guess that both are readily available at your local magic shop. But I would guess that most discussions of how the tricks are done are done in the back. In one of the other clips Penn asked if the trick was done one way, and I would guess they didn't really suspect that, and then Teller showed the guy something on paper and the guy said yes, so in that they weren't fooled. In another clip they are fooled, but the guy doesn't say how it was done, but I would have to guess that he had to prove they guessed wrong backstage at some point before winning the prize. The kid got on the show for his stage presence, and perhaps for his parents making for interesting tv to boot.
