The Native American man goes by Chief House on social media and can be see screaming as he was tased multiple times Sunday by a park ranger at Petroglyph National Monument in New Mexico.
The ranger continuously tells House to show his hands which were visible, eventually telling him to put his hands behind his back, among other commands, while continuing to apply the tazer, making it impossible for House to do anything but scream.
At one point, House explains to the ranger he went off-trail when he saw another group approaching and wanted to maintain social distancing. Going off the trail is forbidden in some parts of Petroglyph, it's unclear if this was one of those parts, but there certainly weren't petroglyphs there to protect.
When another ranger arrives, the aggressive tazing continues, now at gunpoint with House still complying, on the ground writhing in pain. Eventually House is finally cuffed, and rangers explain he's being detained for failing to identify himself. He was under no obligation to ID himself as no crime was even suspected.

BSRsays..."taxed repeatedly"? How cruel.
Looks like the park ranger didn't maintain social distancing either.

surfingytsays...time to get paid my man
newtboysays...While I agree, he should get paid handsomely for this abuse, I, for one, am getting pretty tired of paying higher taxes that go to pay for these payouts. I think they should come out of the police (or in this case, park ranger) pension funds, then when they're gone, union coffers, then payroll, equipment funds, and lastly from state government discretionary funding. Not one penny more should be given out until all police funding is exhausted. You would see these incidents drop to zero if that were the case, and these officers wouldn't ever get rehired because they are liabilities to the bank accounts of any force that hires them.

surfingytsays...totally agree. right now the only way to get them irritated is their insurance premiums become too high, hence defund the police, however ideally it comes directly from the cop or the pension.
