For an original, they are handmade in Switzerland. They will go from anywhere from $5k to 12k, depending if you want to travel there or not.

However the same sound can be created by modifying a propane tank, those sold will cost at least a nice sum of 500+ bucks.

no offense; it's an interesting instrument, but wtf is UP with the rabid love of the Hang Drum?! There's several sifts of it already... get over it people! until it does something different, I don't know WHY we have more than one vid of it.

My reason for sifting this vid is that being such a newly created instrument people are learning to play through experimentation and the sharing of techniques. You cant just go to your local paper and look for people offering to teach.
