Have you ever done salvia? As a, once avid, consumer of drugs I'd have to say that Salvia is one of the strongest highs I have ever experienced. Like it rips your consciousness away from your ego with ease. You don't get any adjustment time...you're just separated from what you thought you knew about the universe. She doesn't do anything wrong. She just got fucked up. That's what happens to everybody that takes it (assuming its 10X or stronger). It's one of those drugs you don't want to do often and every time one of my friends or myself have done that drug, it has put us in a place beyond our control, no matter our experience level. I cannot agree more with what the seedy one said.

It gave me my most wild, vivid psychedelic experience I've ever had (thankfully, it was the most short-lived in realtime, although my conception of time was dramatically altered - those 5 minutes felt like an eternity). It's also given me the weakest (just a lightheaded feeling). It can be inconsistent, even 10x potency. Diviner's Sage can show you some pretty wild things... but only if it wants to.

I'm not going to watch or upvote, because honestly, video cameras should be consciously left out of the psychedelic experience. How they thought this would be a good idea is beyond me. I hope that this haunts them for the rest of their lives in job interviews.

Seems like the kind of drug you want to experience when your head is in a comfortable, low stress space.

I've done it just once, and it was a little too freaky for me. I thought my glass bong was starting to melt on and around my hand, and then it looked like my hardwood floor was coming up in the shape of a hand and trying to grab me. The high only lasted maybe 5 or 10 minutes, but it was a very intense experience. As rottenseed mentioned, the onset was very rapid - there was no adjustment period. So if you do it, strap yourself in, because the ride will start quite suddenly.

I might try it again some time, but I'm waiting for the right frame of mind to come along, which I haven't had in a long time.

i have used salvia sparingly and only in a sacred context.

I can't remember if you're one of VideoSift's fellow former "psychonaughts" but I'll tell you, salvia is nothing like weed, shrooms, or acid.

It hits really fast and it's very disorienting. You don't really learn anything from it, either, and I always learned a little something from the other stuff.

I think the moral of the high every time I've done salvia, isn't something I remember vividly, it's just the feeling that the observations and experiences that aid sentience are only a contrived reality. And not in just philosophical manner, you actually understand this concept.

I totally agree with the onset time. I was like, "I don't think I got a good hit, lemmme try again.... oh wait..." Then half the kitchen we were standing in dropped into a waterfall of yellow fleur de lis bathroom tiles. It wasn't a dreamy vision of a waterfall either, it was a vivid in your face waterfall of tiles - so real I kept my hand on a friends back to keep him from falling in.

If I could I'd add a *fail tag for the future potential job-hunting these girls could do.

No argument.

I think I'm more sensitive and observant than most, but for me, there's nothing in the land of salvia that will guide me to a greater understanding.

Every time I've done it, whether it's the 5x or the 20x I once survived (joke/not joke) it feels like something is screwing the back side of my head off, and I feel like I'm being watched, and the world around me melts into a scatological dreamscape of absurdity and meaninglessness. No music, no art, no understanding, no insights.

I can't say the same for weed, shrooms, or acid.
