Five things I have learned from this video about Russia...

1. Russia's weather/climate is terribly depressing
2. Dash cams have really caught on.
3. They all listen to Techno... all the time.
4. Car accidents are no surprise to drivers.
5. I never be seen driving ANYWHERE at ANYTIME in Russia.

Also, the auto insurance industry in Russia is not economically viable.

What is with people not turning left from the left most lane? It's like half of the accidents are from that.

Also, if ever a place needed roundabouts it's those intersections.

I'm also quite amazed at that in Russia:
Everybody speeds.
Everyone is Traffic light colour-blind.
UTurns and left turns are on impulse.
Getting a crash cam in your car gives you a 30% chance of being in an accident where you did nothing wrong.

This is why 3rd world countries (yes, that means you Russia) can't have nice things.

Considering just how much Russians suck at driving, I would not be the least surprised that ALL insurance companies require dash cams. Btw while not common stock at target yet, finding dash cams in boxs of cereal is not entirely out of the question. You can order basic ones online dirt cheap. A 720p capable dash cam with 2.5 inch display is just 27 bucks shipped.

I just avoided being in a head-on collision today because of my quick-thinking cabbie. Didn't really need the clearer picture of what I missed, but it does bring it home why we should wear seatbelts.

I need to go open up an auto body shop in Russia - I'll be a millionaire in no time!

I wonder how their laws are about self-incrimination and/or evidence that gets collected from those cameras.

They just happen to have more dashcams over there.
