What is it with Republicans talking sense lately? Maybe Bernie Sanders and Ron Paul can encourage the rest of their party to actually collaborate with the Democrats and then we can see some real progress!

*squint* Bernie Sanders is officially an independent, runs with the Dems, and calls himself a socialist.

But the good doctor is not liberal, nor even republican, in the ordinary sense of the word. He's a true libertarian, isn't he? More than his son, it seems.

His Son believes in a stronger executive than most libertarians. One might call him a Hamiltonian, pro-federalist.

Can anyone link me to a video where ron paul looks like an uninformed, unintelligent, bad person? I've never seen it, does the guy talk nothing but absolute solid common sense and fairness?

He's like a public speaking chuck norris.

Like most libertarians he has a major break down when it comes to dealing with climate change. Watch videos where he speaks about AGW and you can tell he's just trying to spin himself out of hole. He doesn't really know how libertarianism would tackle such a problem (even hypothetically), and so instead falls back on what comes across as very uninformed and unintelligent (e.g. spurious nonsense he gets from amateur blogs about volcanoes and sunspots).

Watch any video and he gives the same answer - something along the lines of, "Ehh, well maybe global warming doesn't exist, or maybe it does, I don't want to think about, can't we talk about the Iraq war some more?"
