So, military produces people with psychological illness. Obama wants to shrink the military. Shrinking the military will produce less psychological illness. Therefore, Romney wants to increase the military.

His argument is sound if he means military medical care. Simply increasing the military only serves to create more people with psychological illness.

Logic fail.

@Payback, Obama wants to increase support for vets, not decrease. It is Ryan who wants to move Vets to a voucher system.

Romney says in the vid that as commander in chief, Obama is just going to "stand by". Despite Obama's explicit efforts otherwise and teabaggers explicit efforts to limit help.

Having said that... here is a truth about military benefits..... you stand to make a buttload of money if you can be discharged from the military with even a 10% disability. Then you have a toe in the door for it to be increased later. My dad is proof of that. Had some back issues that came up during his career military service doing a desk job. Retired in 1969 with 10% disability.

When he was 83, he was re-evaluated to 60% disability which led to more income and some of his existing military pension becoming tax-free.

I know it is Third Rail territory to bring up this issue. But every military person knows that you try to get some level of disability before you are discharged.

It's tough territory. And Romney is still an asshole for suggesting that Obama doesn't want to provide the services needed by vets.

It's one thing to say that enough isn't being done for veterans and the buck stops with the Commander-in-Chief, but is Romney blaming Obama directly?

No.

Obama "wants" a lot of things for everyone, he just chooses to ignore the part where someone has to pay for it all.
