When I was down in Camp Shelby, Mississippi, earlier this year, I was in the can and somebody had graffitoed "OBAMA" on the cubicle wall but instead of the O, there was a crosshairs.

You can see the sadness in McCain's eyes during those town hall meetings in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I believe this is when he lost faith in his own supporters. I give him credit for showing some sign of conscience as his campaign went off the rails.

What I can't get my brain around is all the hatred and bile. After 8 years, in which my core values were violated by the executive branch almost daily, 8 years that fealt like it would never end and the utter depression I fealt as I lost my naive belief in the basic intelligence of humanity... During all that time the worst I ever witnessed was some mocking of Bush's verbal gaffes and some pictures of him next to chimpanzee photos. Now that the tables are turned the reaction from the other side is startling. The sheer obscenity of the hyperbole. The calls for assassination, secession, revolution...the violence and hatred that underlies all the rhetoric...I'm have no words to describe how bewildered I am. Not even an ounce of dignity or shame from the right wing.

Someone should make a "documentary" about all the radical libs, commies, anarchists, race hustlers, welfare cheats, tax cheats (phone the White House) defenders of Castro, Chavez, Saddam, Cuba, Soviet Russia, etc. Take the camera to Chicago, Watts, LA, Frisco, NYC, get Code Pink and the cholos and "La Raza" Aztlan radicals recorded. Film the gunfire on the Southern borders, coming from Mexico. Let the cameras roll non-stop on kollij kampii, show the lib professors and let them speak freely, fill terabytes with interviews of kollij students. Ask them how the economy works, who pays the most taxes, the effects of government on business and law. Interview Democrats in their Congressional offices. And for once film the tired bureaucrats that really run DC. Show those exciting faces in charge of regulating your health and wealth.


Here we are, months into the Obama Recession and matters are much worse. Here's hoping you have any change left in your wallets.
