Winstonfield_Pennypackersays...Considering the hundreds of thousands in attendance, I'd say her criticism is both specious and inaccurate. Then again, this IS MadCow so it isn't surprising...
I lump her, Olberman, Hannity, O'Reilly, and Beck in the same bucket of noisy infotainers who are more interested in venting than informing.

According to estimates provided by the Washington, D.C. Fire Department there were 70,000 people.
Nice try though Pennypacker. What's about venting vs. informing?

RaaaghWell that sums the basic problem up.
iaui@Edgeman: I don't think your picture proves much. The photos are clearly taken from a different point of view. I mean, all of the video taken close to the Washington memorial show lots of space around people, so I'm sure the actual number is closer to the 70,000 FD estimate, however, I don't think your picture shows that.
And with respect to the real issue (of the video):
Hahahaha! I found the content of Rachel's coverage very insightful. You're right, Winstonfield, I don't really think her commentary on the situation was great; however, I'm sure we can agree that Wealthcare for Billionaires is quite a poignant parody of the actual situation in the US.
"If our healthcare corporation
Never faces regulation
We'll be brimming with elation.
Let's save the status quo."
Classic awesome.
potchi79Upvote for silly protests.
If I had been nearby I might have joined the 912ers with my protests of "Blow up the Moon!" and "Down with pants! Up with shirts!"
PsychologicI would have loved to see someone walking around asking the 9/12'ers if they believed the moon landing was real. I imagine there would have been more than a little skepticism.

And WHAT ARE YOU GETTING AT??????????????????????????
blankfistThey channeled a bit of Time Warp from Rocky Horror Picture Show there! I like that song.
quantumushroomYou'll find liberal "protesters" at any gathering. It's not like those people have JOBS!
budzosLet's get Maddow an ally in the form of a new hairstylist.
doremifadeleted comment, though I liked the "way to sway swing voters" phrase.

meh. The joke's been done...
Now if you had said: Of course you'll have redneck, trailer-trash at a protest put on by Fox News, it's not like these people don't sit at home all day watching Fox and eating McDonald's
...that would've been thinking outside the box

Because the 70,000 right-wing nutjobs there were all hard at work, right?
