Taintsays...I know what I'd say.
Ma'am whose dick do I have to suck to get my coffee refilled heterosexually?
Seriously though, that was pretty heartening to see such a positive response.... and from patrons in Texas no less.
Although I must admit I'm sadly not surprised at the lack of reaction in New York, my home state. People there would walk past a murder in progress rather than risk joining one.
Opus_Moderandisays...As usual, I'm too lazy to look up statistics myself but, don't most gay people have straight parents? I mean, isn't gay parenting a relatively new thing? (This was my argument with a co-worker that believes having gay parents makes a child more likely to become gay themselves. His argument was that at some point a child looks up to their parents and wants to "be like them").
berticuswow i was prepared to totally rolleyes at this.. but that note was pretty fuckin' epic!

Me too. Just a bit. Ahem.
sruesays...I lived in Texas for about 25 years, and I learned hospitality is important there. It doesn't surprise me that they are offended by an inhospitable waitress - a person who is especially expected to be nice. It may have more to do with that than standing up for gay rights. It's also worth noting that 44% of Texas voters went for Obama, so it's not like the entire state is full of right-wingers.
FlowersInHisHairMaybe the other customers don't react because they can tell it's all staged? They're essentially trolling for emotional responses. It's all rather cynical.
dagComment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
I feel the same way. It's pretty tacky.>> ^FlowersInHisHair:
