Police Now Have Taser-Cams!

..."baseless complaints"? I wish there was a police state channel for this.

Promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued Monday, February 25th, 2008 11:54am PST - promote requested by Constitutional_Patriot.

Kruposays...

What about the 3.8%? *lies!

Upvote only to expose the wanton wussification of the cops who rely on this instead of getting in there and pulling the wife beater away.

Kerotansays...

Baseless complaints... hmmmm

This company takes the line that people can't complain when their dead.

Also they call it a technical breakthrough...

Double yew tee eff guys....

You put a camera on a weapon. come back to me when you create something which is really a technical breakthrough.

quantumushroomsays...

Now the humane, non-lethal Nobel-worthy Taser is even better!

Why aren't the violent protesters, drunks and abusive babymamas celebrating the new Tasercam?

A camera won't lie about their inexcusable, anti-social behavior the evil police officer's deliberate attack.

Aemaethsays...

I'm not a cop and don't find myself on the business end of ine very often so I really don't know, but would a cop really be pointing a taser at someone long enough to make the video worth having?

Hey I just had a revelation...why not stop breaking the law. Or stop fighting the Cops when breaking the law. I think your guilty ass should be tazed. At least your not losing a finger.

djsunkidsays...

I wonder if they are paying The S.U.N. Project for the use of their song. In fact, I think I'm going to email them right now.

OK! I sent a message to them on their website http://www.sun-project.de/

It is funny though that the song in question is called 380 volts. Not exactly precise though, I think tasers are more like 50000 volts.

MaxWildersays...

I'm kinda confused at the negative comments... How could this possibly be a bad thing? It makes the police less likely to use a tazer unnecessarily, and it makes belligerent assholes less likely to get away with their idiocy. So maybe it's not revolutionary, whatever. That's just marketing jargon. Really, where's the downside here?

Plus we'll get more entertaining videos of asshats getting their just desserts! The more video cameras on cops, the better.

djsunkidsays...

As I suspected, they totally didn't ask SUN Project permission. They just wrote me back. They said that they are going to see what they can do about this unauthorised use.

RedSkysays...

My thoughts exactly, MaxWilder. Although, I have to admit that the examples they demonstrate in this video hardly help their cause like Krupo pointed out. The way they're presenting them tasers are like the law enforcement conflict resolution tool for the couch potato cop generation.

"Tasercam brings incident recording where it's needed most-from the officers' perspective." I suspect a conflict of interest in evidence reporting here.
