shuacsays...Be cool, Billy.
TheGenksays...Where is the follow-up where the pick driver gets trown in jail for attempted murder?
conansays...wait: so you're feared for your life, on a sportsbike, the guy supposedly trying to kill you drives a PICKUP, a heavy loaded to be precice and you STILL are not able to get away?
rogueWRXsays...That's a fairly open road and the pickup was hauling ass. A sportbike can get away pretty easily through traffic or maybe on tight roads, but out there the truck can just floor it and keep pace (apparently).
This looks to have only happened a few days ago. I'm very interested to see the results, if anyone can find more information.
I'd think the motorcyclists open themselves up to prosecution for their dangerous riding, maybe a suspended license and a big fine. Pickup driver, as noted, should be attempted murder. I'd go for 10 years. What an insane maniac.
VidRothsays...A sportbike can get away from a pickup, period, IF you're prepared to ride like a bat out of hell for an indefinite amount of time. But looking at that nice, fairly twisty road, those guys were out there to enjoy the corners, not to see how much time they could log at 160. Corners are where the fun (and the skill) is.
Besides, travelling together limits your options--if you want to ditch the truck, you need to get your friend past him too, and then both take off. You don't want to zoom off and just hope the truck didn't give up on you, and go kill your buddy instead.
Barbarsays...I can understand being pissed at the motorcyclists for speeding and passing illegally, along a winding street with houses on it, in particular if it is a street that they habitually use for this. But, starting a race, where you spend a good portion of the time in the oncoming lane, after trying to kill one of them, is hardly a recipe for greater safety. With any luck they'll all get in trouble, although much more so for the fella in the pickup truck.

on page 56 the rider in back says
We are working with authorities to legally bring justice to this incident.I'm not going into any details sorry.I can tell you the pass is of no interest to them.
probiesays...They're all assholes as far as I'm concerned. Speeding and reckless endangerment on both sides.
Ryjkyjsays...The guy on the bike is so lucky he didn't die, and the truck driver is sooooo lucky he didn't kill him.
Januarisays...There isn't anyone in this video who isn't an asshole and didn't put peoples lives at risk for extremely selfish reasons.
The truck driver... clearly belongs in jail... But no one in this video seems to have any common sense... for instance.. if you were being chased like that... why in the world would you not find a safe place to pull off... why engage in that chase...
Yes i realize he was after one of them... but there seem to be moments where they slow down and you could pull off... or into a drive or something... Just seems like pour judgment to me... Easy to say sitting in my chair watching that though of course.

Paybacksays...Also, anyone else see the no-lightbar patrol car sitting on the right side of the road at 1:57? Outside what is probably a bar?
PoweredBySoysays...What, just because they were on motorcycles I'm supposed to feel sorry for them? "A couple of riders were out enjoying a nice Sunday ride..." Speeding, reckless driving, illegal passing... If you're going to incite roadrage, you might want to get a pickup of your own.
offsetSammysays...This reminds me of the movie "Duel". And F that pickup driver.

Oh man, you're so right. Of course by that logic, if you're going to incite murderous rage for being a complete ass hat with no value as a human being you should probably pick up a bullet proof vest of your own.
longdesays...Update:
The truck driver caught on camera swerving at a passing motorcycle on May 22, on a rural Bracken County road, was sentenced to prison on Thursday.
Hudson, 23, of Pendleton County, entered a guilty plea on Nov. 18, in Bracken Circuit Court to an offer from the Commonwealth's Attorney Office.
He was sentenced Thursday to two years in jail on each of two wanton endangerment counts, 90 days in jail for menacing and a $100 fine for reckless driving. The sentences run concurrent for a total of two years, court officials said.
In the incident, caught on a camera mounted on one of two motorcycles, Hudson is seen driving a truck which enters Kentucky 22 ahead of the motorcyclists and drives in the same direction. As
the lead cycle attempts to pass Hudson on the left, Hudson appeared to purposefully steer into the lane and nearly forced the motorcycle off the road. The motorcycle with the camera continued to follow until all three vehicles stopped at an intersection and a verbal altercation with threats ensued.
Hudson is in Mason County Detention Center awaiting transfer to a state prison facility.
