I can't believe you used the "R-Word" without censoring it even though it's in quotes. You don't want to cross the line that has been drawn or the wall that has been built and use the "R-Word" unless you are an "R-Word"

But then again, being that you used the "R-Word" in it's uncensored form, you just might be an "R-Word". In which case it's ok.

If you're a City Sli*ker, you're out of bounds, son.

That it's acceptable for the American cancer society to erect billboards stating "rednecks can be hazardous to your health"?

That's OUR word. Being born white in Texas, I can use it. If you claim there aren't rednecks in towns, you've just exposed your own ignorance.

I wasn't making a claim.

I was addressing the absurdity of

"Red*eck. N*gger. What's the difference?"

"City Sli*ker" was just a lite punchline.

And I'm (poorly) addressing the absurdity of claiming a word belongs to one group and may only be used by that group.

I think only those wishing to be thought of as ni#*ers should use the word, no matter their heritage.

I don't agree that the same goes for redneck, cracker, peckerwood, milk toast, white trash, or similar white descriptors/slurs....at least not in America.

There's a difference that's multilayered.

I think n*gger is an ugly word and should die. If nothing else it should not be used to draw a line between "Us and Them." It's just more racism.

I agree with your disagreement. Censoring "Redneck" was the difference.

10 Power points to you.
