That means that "football" is the American sport. You can't drop that "association" off there, get it right.

The argument is not that you should not call it soccer, or that the word football is reserved only for what you call soccer.

Ther argument is that 95% of the world call it "football" and that living in a corner of the world where it is called "soccer" does not give you the right to force your word for it on everyone else.
