Obama's standup at Correspondent's Dinner (05/09/09)

So much BURN!
quantumushroomsays...

The real burn is on the dopes who voted for Obamalinsky. And the rest of us who will have to suffer this fool.

500,000 jobs lost last month, which the Obamedia reports as GOOD NEWS, since 600,000 jobs were lost the month before that!

8.9% unemployment, not seen in 30 years.

The economy shrank by an annual rate of 6.1 percent in the first quarter of 2009.

No one seems to care at the statist/media dinner.

The Obama Presidency is a disaster, and it's only going to worsen.

Just Shut The Fuck Up Already.

I think you're picking into it a little too closely just because of his job. Yeah, the media'll try to do that too, but he gave a nice message at the end about their service to the country, so if anything they'll cut out the racy stuff for the previews, but come the news story, it'll just talk about how he hired on writers that sounded like they were from The Daily Show or something.

It's good to see a president with real courage occasionally.

You idiot. That's all a result of the insane spending and unwarranted wars characteristic of the Bush Administration. Don't you get it? This guy is trying to FIX these problems resulting from the last 8 years of terrible leadership.

I have to question some people on their understanding of history, and their ability to see more then what's dropped in their face. Especially with the grand scope of government policy.

You(that is Americans), started digging your own hole back in the days of Carter, and happily let it continue running with Clinton when he happily agreed to started deregulating the banking system and stock market. While not wholly a bad idea, you forgot to ensure that there was oversight in the long run. When issues were presented, both sides decided they either knew better, or didn't care.

8 years pah. Such a narrow, and short-sighted view. Congratulations on massive meltdown that hasn't been seen since the '30's, possibly since the 1880's. Personally, I expect with the ALT-A and ARMs coming up in about 6-9mo time, you should be hoping that this doesn't get any worse like it probably will.

We broke ground on this abyss at the end of WWII. It's like the boiling a frog story, we started with cold water and 60 years later we've boiled all the water out of the pot and are left with an ashen frog corpse.

Just give it a few more years, the Obama administration's efforts will have corrected much of the faults in our system, or y'all Europeans will be seeing an influx of ex-pats as we all desert the good ship Capitalist Greed.

Fixed that for you. And for the record, Clinton didn't really have much choice, since congress was Republican-Controlled at the time, and it was the Republicans who wrote the bill that gutted Glass-Stegal act. Yeah, Clinton signed it (that, and the Pharma-advertisment bills were the worst bills he signed into law), but his hands were essentially tied by the right-wing.
