This is insane... Do we really need two mythbusters poop clips? One is 3min, this one is 10min.

At 12/4 7:33pm I posted a link to the full version and suggested swapping out that embed.

12 hours later this was posted as a NEW submission.

You already answered your own question, so why this? Maybe it is lame, but what's even lamer is this * discuss. There's already ample precedent for significantly longer clips not being considered dupes. The original was three minutes, and this one is ten minutes. That's seven minutes longer. That's over 300%+ the original length. That's good enough for me, and it has withstood the smell test for dupitude for similar cases.

The point is that the original submission should have just been editted as I suggested. I think original poster probably would have. We should DELETE one of them though.

There is ample precedent of longer, more complete videos being used and discarding the shorter subset videos.

I'll chime in too. We've set the precedent that if one video is long and the other is not, they are allowed. So unless they are very close to each other, I think they should be allowed to stay both of them.

If the two sifters could settle it - out of court - and just kill one, that would certainly work too.

These two are essentially the same video, one with more detail. I just don't see the need for both videos. I always thought longer videos take over when the shorter video is not just highlight, edits, or something. *return

This is all a bit fuzzy to me, but I believe this isn't a dupe. If the shorter video was posted subsequent to this one, it'd be a clear cut case, but in a situation like this, I think precedent dictates that both vids should remain. I guess. (How's that for decisiveness?)
