ChaosEnginesays...*promote
siftbotsays...Self promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued Sunday, February 26th, 2012 6:51pm PST - promote requested by original submitter ChaosEngine.
BoneRemakesays...This I find is the problem with game promos. This is just a "movie" that says nothing about the game play itself.
Sure I got the gist of what the story might be of but that is only one side of a multi surfaced coin. I want to know how the graphics look.
LukinStonesays...I hear ya, but it looks like all of the cinematics in this one are in the game play engine. If you are interested, they have some game play previews...not really feeling like hunting down a link now but I'm sure they are easy to find at Rockstar's website.
The Max Payne formula is pretty solid. Bullet time + gritty plot = fun.
deathcowsays...I'm surprised it was Quake and not real time 3D rendered hotties that drove 3D game engine advances.
antsays...*animation *commercial
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Animation, Commercial) - requested by ant.
Porksandwichsays...Did Max Payne "break bad"? (Shave his head)
I can't tell if he's the bald guy or not....seems like he might be. Maybe he'll get a porkpie hat and we can call him Heisenberg.
EvilDeathBeesays...From all the stuff I've seen so far, it look like it doesn't have that Max Payne feel, the nighttime, bleak, noir setting. How the events take place over only a day or two and Max gets more and more beaten to shit over time.
Looks like it's going to be a good game, but I don't think it'll be a genuine Max Payne game. Sao Paulo? No
sillmasays...Probably doesn't have the Max Payne feel because it's not developed by the same studio who did 1 and 2. Guessing it's going to be more of a GTA-esque max payne, looks a lot like the latest GTA.

Yeah, that's one reason. Rockstar are developers that just seem to watch movies. They watch movies, they write their games like movies, their games feel like movies.
Remedy on the other hand seem to read. Max Payne 1 and 2 was written to feel like a graphic novel. Alan Wake was written to feel like a novel. I bet Max Payne 3 will feature more in game movie-like cutscenes and less graphic novel cutscenes.
