dystopianfuturetodayOf course Jon Stewart is right, he's always right, but the same people that own the system also own the media. Enjoy public media while it lasts, it's been in the corporatist crosshairs for some time now.

the girl with no tv asks, "did cenk get his own show on msnbc?"
The guy with no tv flubs for an answer...I believe Cenk is a part of someone elses show, chiming in with his two cents in a segment we like to call "Everything but the Kitchen Sink, with Cenk!"
L0ckysays...Another guy with no tv seems to remember Cenk being a guest on MSNBC recently where they inferred a job offer and he said something along the lines of 'if you got one I'll take it', but I can't remember what the video was.

Keep cashing that General Electric paycheck Cenk.
entr0pyA man with access to the googles brings you fresh copypasta:
Uygur has appeared on television on numerous occasions on MSNBC, CNN Headline News, E! Entertainment Television, Aljazeera, ABC News, Voice of America, NPR and the Fox News Channel.
He is a regular guest on The Dylan Ratigan Show for a segment opposite various conservative commentators. On several occasions, Uygur has guest hosted the show in Ratigan's absence, and has also served as guest host for The Ed Show in the absence of Ed Schultz as well as the guest host for Keith Olbermann on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.
On October 21, 2010 msnbc announced that Uygur had been officially hired as a contributor and substitute anchor for the network. Previously, Uygur had periodically guest hosted and appeared on numerous msnbc programs.
YogiDamn we all need to get some TVs.

You're right he's coming off as a hypocrite trying to point out how he's better than others.

alizarinTaking the check isn't selling out, changing the message is. I haven't heard him do that.
If you want wider exposure you have to be on a network and all the networks are owned by big corps.

I'm sure that's what his agent tells him every night. He's still a bit of a hypocrite gasbag - even if I agree with the message.>> ^alizarin:

ObsidianStormFrom completely out of left field -
Has anyone else gotten the impression that Dylan Ratigan doesn't like Cenk? Maybe a bit of a threat?
I've gotten that distinct feeling a couple of times I've seen them together.
bcglorfsays...I've said it before, Cenk is just a poor man's attempt at cloning Jon Stewart. He's not as funny, he's not as smart, and he spends even less time on the real issues than Jon Stewart does. The last difference is that Cenk's the one really trying to be taken seriously as a commentator/pundit while Jon is adamant about being nothing more than the funny man.
I wish all the pundits and talking heads out there would stop complaining about each other, or about Jon Stewart, or about all the other people they figure have it all wrong. Don't counter a complaint that you aren't doing your job by attacking the person pointing it out. Counter it by DOING YOUR JOB and focusing on the issues.
The fact they all feel the desperate need to defend themselves and respond to anything on the Daily Show is proof positive they are focused on all the wrong things. A hard hitting investigative news organization wouldn't bother itself with what was said on some half hour comedy show, they'd be too busy pursuing really important stories based on real research.
