Louis Ck talks about the success of his comedy special

Louis C.K. offers an update on the success of his special during his interview with Jimmy Fallon. Apparently, Live from the Beacon Theater has hit the million dollar mark in sales, though C.K. breaks the success down to much more simple terms by referring to it as “a $5 impulse that 225,000 people had.” You’ll hear more on his thoughts about that, his plans for New Year’s, and his less than ecstatic take on performing at the White House Correspondents Dinner (see part 1 in the comment thread)

See, now I feel even more awesome about paying my paltry, don't-actually-notice-it-not-being-there $5.

I don't know how donations work in US taxes but I hope Louis has budgeted appropriately for IRS. I would hate to see him become one of those celebs who down the road finds out he owes Uncle Sam a shitload of money.

I'm pretty sure the charity contributions, production expenses and employee bonuses are all 100% deductible, so he'll just have to pay taxes on the part he actually takes home.
