Dunno, it hit the water pretty hard, last thing might have been its nose.
furrycloudsays...Looks like killer whales enjoy a good game of "throw your food in the air and catch it"!

This looks like a dupe of
http://www.videosift.com/video/Killer-Whale-throws-Seal-20-meters-in-the-air
as well as
http://www.videosift.com/video/Save-Pandas-Not-Whales
The relevant footage is at the end of each of those vids, and neither of those is long enough to warrant the 'short excerpt from a long vid' exception for this one.
siftbotThis video is being sent to Sift Talk for discussion - discuss requested by jonny.
gwiz665I think both of those have horrible music latched on to them, which detract significantly from the viewing experience. Thus, not dupe. But yes, "other is long" don't apply.
dystopianfuturetodayWhichever one gets to stay needs to be titled, "Killer whales... the assholes of the sea." because that's just plain funny.
ponceleonNot sure if it makes any difference, but this cut is from the actual Blue Planet miniseries and the music on it is the original as opposed to the other clips.
SagemindThese are not Dupes at all, Yes, a seal gets thrown in both of them but they aren't the same. One has two other whales in the background, the other has none. Two completely different shots. Completely different.
And what's with those Panda people bashing Whales, that just makes no sense. Save the whales, save the pandas, save some change so I cam buy some M&Ms
gwiz665*return a waste of vote keeping it here, and until now the majority says no dupe as far as I can see. (even if it is two to one)
siftbotReturning this video from Sift Talk - return requested by gwiz665.

Well, it is just as fake looking as the other two

The clip is from a high-def miniseries, when you see it at full resolution, it looks quite real.

rich_magnetLooks like a clip from the Blue Planet series. If it's the clip I'm thinking of it's sea lion pup captured from the beach is an amazing beaching behaviour of the whales, a behaviour apparently only done in patagonia. Also, it's already dead (or at least unconscious) after being "played with" by the whales for quite some time after being captured live. Poor little beast.
ThrobbinPoor little beast?
How do we know the seal pup didn't have this coming to him?
*Reserving judgement until all the facts are in*
yourhydrai wish it had then caught the seal with its jaw

Actually if I remember this episode correctly. They return the live seal pup to the beach when they're done playing.
