Kevlar chainsaw chaps seem like a good idea

Well, this seems like a good idea.

Electric saws seem a bit whimpy, but the'll cut as well as a gas-powered saw. I'm no engineer, but I dont think, for all their huffing and puffing and noisemaking, that gas powered saws are that _strong_, it is after all a pretty small and light engine. the trick to chainsaws is the speed of the chain.

would like to see how they do against a real gas powered lumberjack chainsaw, not the dinky little electric one.

My brother in laws brother was out hundreds of miles away from help in the Alaskan woods working on a cabin and put a chainsaw right into his leg. Bad juju.... these are worth it

Don't waste your cash on those, get the old style because the wool does the same thing and you can keep wearing them after a few minor accidents no problem. The only thing I would think these would win over the old style would be weight and/or heat (old style heavy and hot) but I didn't hear him talk about that which I would expect from a sales video. But if you don't plan on wearing them for 12hrs on the sunny side of a mountain then again don't bother unless you got cash to burn.

Sadly they also cost almost as much as a chainsaw, which is why they're the one bit of safety equipment I don't have yet.
