Stormsingersays...They don't seem to hand out those tickets any more, around these parts. We've had a guy parking in front of the hydrant by our house for the last two months. Never a peep from any of the cops driving by.
However, if there -is- a fire, the firetruck will immediately push the vehicle out of the way, and they supposedly don't take -any- interest in minimizing any damage. It just breaks my heart to think about the thousands of dollars that asshole will have to pay for repairs, should it come to that.
And here's your ticket for parking in front of a fire hydrant.
SFOGuysays...That would be AWESOME if he was. But in actuality---because of the tail rotor still spinning and then how the main rotor blades droop as they slow down (at just about the right height-with no visual profile end o- to chop someone driving a semi or a bus in half)---the entire helicopter is a rotating engine of death until everything comes to a halt...
Thus, the duck and run of people getting out from a chopper. And not duck and run towards the tail rotor specifically.
