The GOP needs to fade into obscurity and let the Dems take their rightful place as the major right of center party and let a truly liberal party rise up on the left.

Then the GOP parrot heads like QM and WP will have a legitimate "ultra-liberal" party in power to whine about, rather than complaining about the "just not as far to the right as the nutjobs we like" party that the Democrats are.
